Born from a passion for the slow art of wild yeast and the golden crunch of a perfect crust, pane & self-love is a sanctuary for those who appreciate the poetry of baking. We honor the heritage of artisanal Italian bread-making, where every grain tells a story of patience, land, and the quiet joy of a morning ritual, where good eating becomes an act of self-love and care.
Our Signature Artisanal Batches
Artisanal Sourdough
Slow-fermented for 24 hours using our 5-years-old starter, Charlotte, achieving a perfectly aerated crumb and a deeply caramelized crust.
Hand-Laminated Pastry
Slow-fermented for 72 hours, our French-style viennoiseries are hand-laminated and hand-rolled, filled with only premium ingredients.
Traditional Patisserie
From puff pastries to waffles, from English muffins to Cinnamon rolls, our menu includes a wide variety of sourdough baked goods.

We are a married couple who moved to Prince Edward Island, Canada, from Italy in 2021. pane & self-love was born from our passion for food and the idea of celebrating the connection between what nourishes your soul while also being good for your body.
Food is a love language to us and it is central in our Italian culture: as our name tells, pane & self-love was born from the idea of merging our different worlds.
Pane (the Italian word for bread) is Lilie’s world, the baker part of our duo. She celebrates her carb addiction and passion for bread-making by merging her Florentine root with her love for the French patisserie.
Self-love is Vinnie’s world, the communications part of our duo. Poet by heart, first and official tester of all our baked goods, she turns our creations into words, so that you can have a little taste of them before they arrive on your table!
These two worlds meet each other through our passion for delicious and healthy food.
